The throttle is a controllable valve that controls the air entering the engine. It is connected to the air filter on the top and the engine block on the bottom. After the gas enters the intake pipe, it will be mixed with gasoline to form a combustible mixture, thereby burning to do work.
Classification: There are four types of electronic throttles: electro-hydraulic, linear electromagnet, stepping motor and DC servo motor.
The DC servo motor type is widely used in automobiles. The electro-hydraulic type and the stepping motor type are not suitable for automotive applications due to the low control accuracy, while the linear electromagnetic type is too suitable for automotive applications due to the large power consumption required.
The main reason for the formation of throttle fouling comes from oil vapor, particles and moisture in the air. Therefore, how long the throttle will be dirty depends on the quality of the air filter, the brand and quality of the oil used, the conditions of the driving section, and the air temperature, engine operating temperature, driving habits and many other aspects.
